Tacet(i) Ensemble premieres Wang’s new work at the IntAct Festival – 18 December 2025
Bangkok, Thailand
Wang has been selected to participate in the International Composition Institute of Thailand (ICIT) as part of the IntAct Festival 2025. During the programme, he will collaborate with Tacet(i) Ensemble and conductor Boon Hua Lien on the world premiere of his new chamber work, Memory Disassembly at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre in Thailand., which will be part of the opening concert. Over 1400 submissions, Wang’s work, Through Frail Shadows for string quartet and fixed media has been selected as one of the 200 pieces; to be featured on score follower channel. The release window is scheduled between June 2024 and November 2024.
Sydney Symphony Orchestra Fellows premieres Wang’s new ensemble work – 12 July 2024

Wang’s new ensemble piece, Distillations of Light II, premiered by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Fellows, under the baton of Roger Benedict at Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatorium of Music. This performance was part of his participation in the Inaugural Sydney Conservatorium Winter School in Composition, where he also received mentorships from Liza Lim and Matthew Hindson. Wang’s new work, Sonic Distillation at the RNCM Gold Medal Final – 22 June 2024

Wang has been selected as a finalist for the Royal Northern College of Music Gold Medal Competition. Wang has been commissioned to compose a chamber composition for wind quintet to be premiered at the RNCM Gold Medal Final event. This new work, Sonic Distillation will then be further considered for the RNCM Gold Medal Award.
